As denoted by our civilization's collective history and countless discourses on climate change, capitalism has played a relatively unambiguous role in fomenting and perpetuating our modern climate crisis. More critically, some have argued that environmental exploitation and degradation are intrinsic to the very structure and pursuit of a capitalist system. Can capitalism be reformed, or should our society move towards a more eco-conscious political economic paradigm?
